Fig Porridge with Honey and Salted Pistachios
A nutty twist on a quick and easy hot breakfast.
- 4 cooked servings of millet porridge (or Cream of Wheat)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 4 Tbsp fig butter
- 1/3 cup chopped pistachios
- Butter and honey to taste
- Stir vanilla and salt into pot of hot porridge, then divide into four bowls. Top each with a Tbsp of fig butter (preserves) and garnish with a little butter, chopped pistachios, a drizzle of honey, and milk if desired.
