Green Smoothie Freezer Packs

I’m a big fan of green smoothies, especially when they’re quick and convenient! That’s when these green smoothie packs come into the picture.

With just four ingredients portioned into freezer baggies, you’ve got smoothies ready to pop in the blender whenever you’re short on time! They are the perfect grab-and-go breakfast that you don’t have to think twice about. Plus, they are packed with nutrients and give me energy for hours. So let’s talk about how easy these are!

IMG_5093Ingredient one: A cup of fruit, cut into cubes (I used frozen mango and pineapple)

IMG_5106Ingredient two: A large handful of greens, washed and dried (I used a mix of spinach and baby kale)

IMG_5108Ingredient three: One date with the pit removed

IMG_5110Ingredient four: 1/2 teaspoon of chia seeds (I think they look like tiny little beans 🙂 )

IMG_5113When you’re ready for a smoothie, simply add 1/3 cup of liquid (I use unsweetened almond milk because we always have it on hand) and blend!

IMG_5111I made 16 smoothie packs using a 13oz bag of baby greens, half a bag of frozen mango, and half a bag of frozen pineapple.

I would love to hear your favorite smoothie combinations in the comments below so I can know which recipes to share next!

With a little prep, you can have fresh green smoothies even when you're in a rush!

*Per smoothie pack (I made 16 packs using a 13.5 oz bag of greens)
  • 1/2 cup mango chunks
  • 1/2 cup pineapple chunks
  • 1 generous handful of spinach and baby kale
  • 1 pitted date
  • 1/2 tsp chia seeds

  1. Add ingredients to sandwich sized freezer bags and seal well, being sure to remove as much air as possible.
  2. Freeze bags until ready to blend. Combine contents of one bag and 1/2 cup liquid (I recommend unsweetened almond milk) in a blender, and enjoy!

  1. I make a smoothie every morning and I have never thought to pre package my ingredients into freezer packs! Haha! I have never tried a date in my smoothie either so I am going to have to give this recipe a try. Thanks for sharing!
